Aztec Sun
Aztec Sun
Our music is a retro blend of 70's funk and soul with heavy undertones of jazz, blues and afrofunk. In 2016, the Washington City Paper named AZTEC SUN the Best Local Original Band. We've had the pleasure of opening for national touring acts such as Burning Spear, the Suffers, Pimps of Joytime, Naughty Professor, Alanna Royale, The Main Squeeze, and Major and the Monbacks.
Staycation
Staycation
Hailing from the nation's capital, Staycation evokes sounds of new and old—built on a foundation of dance-inducing grooves, gritty psychedelic rock, soaring solos, and topped off with infectious vocal hooks. Each live show is a unique experience, featuring seamless segues and non-step energy. As Live Music Daily put it, the end result is “less like a show and increasingly like a great party.”

Formerly part of DC Funk Rock group B Side Shuffle, Staycation's members have been mainstays in the DMV music scene for years, with major festival appearances at the All Good Festival and Camp Barefoot, and flagship venues like the 9:30 Club, Howard Theatre, Baltimore Soundstage, and the 8x10. The group has shared stages with nationally-touring artists such as the Revivalists, Moon Taxi, Zach Deputy, Dopapod, and many more.

Staycation is Joseph Dolan (drums), Carter Jones (bass), Will Sautter (vocals/alto sax/keys), and Nick Sus (vocals/guitar).
Moogatu
Moogatu
Moogatu has planted the first seeds for a unique blend of funky, shreddy progressive rock just outside of the nation's capital in bucolic northern Virginia. Soaring dual lead guitars and a pulsing rhythm section bring the quintet's inviting songcraft and creative improvisations to an audience that grows at every club and festival. Moogatu is carving its niche with high energy sets that keep people grooving long into the night. Moogatu is: Brian Raubacher (guitar, vocals) Chris Lee (guitar), Brian Zupruk (bass, vocals), Jeff Hunter (drums).

Moogatu has shared bills with: moe., EOTO, Ron Holloway, Dopapod, Keller Williams, Tea Leaf Green, Steve Kimock, The Werks, Kung Fu, Conspirator, The Pimps of Joytime, Zoogma, Larry Keel & Natural Bridge, Perpetual Groove, DrFameus, New Riders of the Purple Sage, Melvin Seals, The Mantras, Papadosio, Boombox, Jimkata, Tiny Boxes, Former Champions, Silo Effect, The Shack Band, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Freedom Enterprise and Galaxy Dynamite.

"Moogatu, a [Washington, DC] powerhouse jamband warmed up the night with their classic funk chops... The group kept the crowd pumped up and ready for the madness that was about to unfold." - Relix/Jambands.com, November 2013

"Moogatu... a powerhouse jamband" - Relix/Jambands.com, November 2013

"Previously unfamiliar with Moogatu, I was highly impressed by their set. This 4 piece brings forth another unique and heavy sound, forming much of its music around dual lead guitar parts, with a very tight and complimentary rhythm section." - Buckeye Music Magazine, October 2012

"We've seen some personal favorites of ours such as People's Blues of Richmond, Moogatu, Moon Hooch and Pigeons Playing Ping Pong dominating the festival scene and rarely taking a night off from playing a show. Moogatu has been teaming up with Jamwich favorites such as Galaxy Dynamite and Segway and continue to wow audiences with their creative and technical skills." - Appalachian Jamwich Magazine, December 2012

"I forgot Moogatu was from [some movie we totally don't remember]. I thought it just stood for 'BADASS!'" - Allen Aucoin (Disco Biscuits), March 2013
