Soul Cannon
Soul Cannon
Soul Cannon never stops pushing the boundaries of musical creation, both on the stage and off. A 4-piece hip-hop band consisting of three conservatory-trained jazz musicians and the most dynamic emcee in Baltimore, Soul Cannon’s music captivates hip-hop heads and music intellectuals alike. Recently named “Best Live Band” by the Baltimore City Paper, the group electrifies audiences at its shows with a combination of constant innovation, unparalleled collaboration, and pure sweat.

This special chemistry all began when forward thinking Baltimore emcee Eze Jackson linked up with three musical crossbreeds who came from across the country to attend the Peabody Conservatory. Unbeknownst to them, the four members had been brought together by a force larger than their individual selves, allowing them to forge musical connections and possibilities that have never been heard but have always been felt by true lovers of music. This radical element has already put Soul Cannon together onstage with renowned acts such as Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Hi-Tek, Jay Electronica, DJ Logic, People Under The Stairs, Blu, J.Davey, Busdriver and Grand Buffet.
Tropixxx
Tropixxx
Tropixxx, founded in 2011, has been a staple in the DC music scene for ground breaking Bass music and one of the early homes for DC's own Moombahton. Handed down from Dave Nada's Moombahton Mondays, to Billy The Gent & Cam Jus, and finally to The Clown Prince & Mathias, the legendary Sunday party remains a local favorite. Cutting their DJ teeth in Maryland and Virginia, The Clown Prince & Mathias were introduced at a local bar and the musical chemistry was perfect. They were the heirs to the tropical bass throne of DC and continue pushing local music and tropical bass music from every corner of every scene. Welcoming talents like Willy Joy, Kingman Fire, Obeyah, Mighty Mark, Manila Killa, Obeyah, James Nasty and many more, Tropixxx has been a mainstay in the burgeoning Dance Music scene in DC. Whether it's Electro, Trap, Club, Hip Hop, Kuduro, Zouk, Reggaton, Juke, Drum N Bass, Baile Funk, or Miley Cyrus, you can be sure Tropixxx will bring the temperature up to an uncomfortable level.
